Leaving Our Mark Since 1978

Forming an alumnae chapter had been the dream of many Sorors in Anderson. During the latter part of November 1977, eight Sorors met at the home of Ella Webb to discuss the possibility of forming an alumnae chapter in Anderson. Through organized meeting and correspondence with the South Atlantic Regional Director, Ruby T. Davis and Grand Chapter, guidelines necessary for forming the chapter were shared with Sorors. On May 19, 1978 a charter was granted. The chartering was attended by members of the Greenwood, Spartanburg, and Greenville Alumnae Chapters. Dr. Ruby Davis, South Atlantic Regional Director, Presided.
