Delta Academy - Girls Ages 11-14

The Delta Academy was established under the leadership of Delta Sigma Theta’s 21st National President, Marcia L. Fudge, out of an urgent sense that bold action was needed to save young females ages 11–14 from the perils of academic failure, low self-esteem, and limited futures.

Delta Academy gives local chapters an opportunity to enrich and enhance the education young girls receive in public schools nationwide. The program augments scholarship in math, science, and technology; provides leadership through service-learning opportunities; and cultivates sisterhood through relationship building. A primary goal is to prepare young girls for full participation as leaders in the 21st century.

Delta GEMS - Girls Ages 14-18

Delta GEMS: Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully was created under the leadership of Dr. Louise A. Rice, Delta Sigma Theta’s 23rd National President. It builds upon the foundation established by Delta Academy and provides a framework for high school girls ages 14–18 to actualize their dreams through specific tasks, goal-oriented development, and a “can do” attitude.
